ROGELIO COLLI

PAINTER

Mexican artist born in Calkiní, Campeche in 1975, Bachelor of Education and self-taught visual artist specialized in painting, Art Academic and muralist for the Universidad Autónoma del Carmen, with a long career dedicated to Plastic Arts.
He grew up in a family of artisans, surrounded by colors, textiles, figures, and the geometry of materials, which visually educated him from his childhood, defining his artistic production, characterized by the use of vibrant colors and textures in which through each brushstroke he expresses his love for pre-Hispanic roots and Mexican culture.
He has a trajectory of more than 20 years of developing plastic art, with a style marked by his Mayan roots, defining himself as the Mayan artist
He currently has his studio in Sabancuy, Mexico, a beautiful fishing village in the Gulf of Mexico on the Campechana coast of the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico.
